In light of that big hullabaloo that's going down in D.C. tomorrow, something SFist is trying as hard as possible not to think about (we prefer the hand over the ears and shouting "la-la-la" as loud as possible method), we have something that just might take your minds off of it -- according to news reports in England, Britney has been shopping at maternity stores and telling all the people there that she's nine months weeks pregnant.
Now, we know -- where's the local angle? Well, SFist isn't exactly sure either. We do know that the blogosphere goes cuckoo for cocoa puffs for anything dealing with Brit-Brit and there's nothing we love more than entertaining our fellow bloggers. And what is celebrity gossip for other than taking your mind off the gloominess of our world? Besides, with Gav & Kim on the outs, followed quickly by Brad & Jen, shouldn't we want a little sunshine in our celebrity-saturated world?
But never fear, SFist is here with some handy-dandy local stuff to tie it all together. Like for all those people (Read: Shar Jackson) who could become pregnant only to discover that their boyfriend is taking up with some white-trash pop tart, might we recommend Planned Parenthood -- for him, if not for you. All things considering, Planned Parenthood is as important as ever (just think about phrase "Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Clarence Thomas" for awhile). Now that we've already given you all the juicy tidbits of Britney gossip, why spend all that money on Star Magazine when you can donate it to this worthy cause?
And if K-Fed wants to help little Ms. Cash Cow, but doesn't want to break his backup dancer budget, SFist would like to recommend Craigslists's Baby & Kid Stuff message board. Or if you don't want anything used for your million-heir to wear, you can try the great baby tees from Sausalito's Glug Baby or register at Gymboree (Kev, registering for the shower costs you nothing but is, like, sooooo thoughtful!).
