Thousands descended on downtown San Francisco yesterday to criticize the American airstrike that killed a top Iranian general (Qassem Soleimani) Friday, an action by President Trump that many agree could pull us into a war.

Chanting calls to cease another "imperialist war" from happening and further violence in the Middle East, sign-bearing San Franciscans marched in and around City Hall Saturday afternoon to call for state officials to "give diplomacy a chance," as reported by the Chronicle, ABC7, and various other Bay Area news outlets.

Organized in tandem by Code Pink and A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), members of those organizations and several other groups — like the Arab Resource and Organizing Center — could be heard declaring "hands off Iran" as they snaked through Santa Clara Street, between Powell and Market, accompanied by other protesters.

For those that might've missed the demonstration, or attendees who merely want to relive their rebel-rousing midday soiree, here's a gaggle of snapped images from the vociferous, pro-peace display.
