Multiple angles of surveillance footage from Tuesday's shooting have been released by merchants at the Tanforan mall in San Bruno, and it depicts the chaos of fleeing teenagers on the mall's second floor.

As San Bruno's police chief earlier described it, it does appear to be "a silly, stupid, tragic event" involving kids engaged in some disorganized version of a shootout, and thankfully no innocent bystanders were hurt in the chaos.

San Bruno Police released the footage, hoping to get some more leads on the suspects. The footage shows one shooter fleeing with a crowd and turning back to fire shots. You then see one victim on the ground, possibly grabbing their leg. A second shooter runs in the same direction firing shots toward the fleeing group.

We now know that the victims were a 12-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, one of whom was shot in the abdomen. Both victims were listed in serious condition as of Wednesday.

KPIX has another angle as well, from an ice cream shop, showing people running in one direction, then turning and fleeing in the other direction just outside the shop.

Longtime congresswoman Rep. Jackie Speier, who represents San Mateo County and who herself was injured in the airport shooting at Jonestown in 1978, issued a statement saying, "I am relieved that nobody died and my heart goes out to the two victims who are still hospitalized and to all the people who were traumatized by this senseless act of violence."

Anyone with information about the suspects or the shooting are encouraged to call San Bruno police at (650) 616-7100, or email them at [email protected].
