It ain't so great having three major social platforms served from the same place when the servers go down!
On Wednesday morning beginning around 9 a.m. Pacific Time, users of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp all began experiencing problems contacting the services they rely on to get them through the day.
According to the live maps on Down Detector, Facebook and Instagram users are having similar issues on both the east and west coasts, as well as in central Europe. WhatsApp, meanwhile, appears to be out in Germany and across India.
While the site appears to be live, Facebook users are reporting seeing error messages like this one when they try to post anything:
A spokesperson for Facebook tells CNet, "We're aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible."
It's now been over two hours, however, and this looks to be the most significant outage Facebook or Instagram has had in many months.
Meanwhile, per uje, Twitter is abuzz with reaction GIFs and memes.
