Television's equivalent of Xanax, BBC's The Great British Bake Off, got an American version last year called The Great American Baking Show, but it didn't get off to the most auspicious start, ratings-wise. Now, as Deadline reports, ABC is bringing it back in December and rebooting it with new hosts, former 49er Anthony Adams, and the Bay Area's own favorite basketball wife, Ayesha Curry.

A great cook in her own right, the 28-year-old Curry is having a busy year, having done a barbecue pop-up at The Mina Test Kitchen that has already become a chain of restaurants, with SF's first location of International Smoke opening sometime soon in the RN74 space — though RN74 has not yet closed. And just yesterday we learned that Curry had been named the new face of Cover Girl.

This will actually be the third season of The Great American Baking Show, and no specific air date has been released, as ABC 7 tells us. We only have the goofy promotional photo above to go on, so yes, it will be all about Christmas.

And yes, it's already late September.
