This week Mission Mission turned us on to this Tumblr called Found Photos which includes a bunch of vintage scenes of San Francisco in the 1950s and 60s.

The photographers are unknown, and these were probably flea market finds, or the like.

Here we bring you a selection from the 50s which fills in the gaps from this recent gallery of signage and vernacular architecture in Northern California which didn't include anything from SF.

Also, if you like old photos, you should check out these from the Charles W. Cushman collection which include some of the first color photos ever taken of the Golden Gate Bridge. And here's another trove of Cushman's photos from 1955 taken all around SF.
