A nasty pair of thieves attacked a man on Van Ness Avenue late Thursday, assaulting him and stealing his ventriloquism device.
Police say that the crime went down at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, on the 1200 block of Van Ness Avenue, which is between Post and Sutter Streets.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the 20-year-old male victim "was assaulted by two suspects," men police say appeared to be between 25 and 30 years of age.
During the attack, the duo "took his ventriloquist doll and fled," police say. They were last seen headed north on Van Ness.
The victim was transported to San Francsico General Hospital for treatment of his injuries, and is in stable condition as of Friday morning.
No arrests have been made in the case, the SFPD confirms, and as of publication time the suspects and the stolen dummy remain on the loose.
