Maybe you've seen Doug Meyers and his cat Eduardo strolling the streets of Berkeley. If not, you've seen something like it: The Bay Area is home to plenty of unexpected animals on leashes or in knapsacks and even in strollers.
It's been thus for some time — see the 1950s Telegraph Hill Raccoon man for a prime example. Meyers wants others to carry on the tradition, using Eduardo as a Guinea pig for video tutorials on how to walk cats on leashes.
The above video, posted this month and picked up by Laughing Squid, is just step one. I suspect this will be a long process for most cats who aren't by nature as confident as Eduardo. Here's that daredevil in a slideshow of a full-on hike he did:
