A male ride-hail driver — he could drive for Uber, Lyft, or neither — got into a fight with another man early Sunday morning apparently because of their respective gang affiliations. The 37-year-old driver was waiting for a fare at Ninth Street and Howard at 2 a.m. Monday, as the Examiner reports, when he was approached by an 18-year-old male who asked him if he was affiliated with a gang. The driver flashed his gang tattoos, and that prompted the younger man to come around and punch the driver in the face, and then jump on the hood of his car.

The victim then got out of his car and chased after the assailant, who managed to jump into the victim's car and drive off.

The victim then called police, and they were able to track down and recover the vehicle because he had left his cellphone inside it.

Thankfully, there was no customers in the car when all this happened, because that could have gotten weird.
