A Marina District mail carrier was injured Thursday evening, when a driver allegedly lost his temper over his double-parked vehicle and beat the delivery man up.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the attack occurred at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, near the intersection of Divisadero and Bay Streets in the Marina.

Police say that the victim, a 51-year-old man, "was double-parked delivering mail" when the 46-year-old male suspect "pulled up behind [the victim's] vehicle and started honking loudly."

Apparently not content to just honk, the suspect then "exited his car and struck [the victim] in the face and body," police say.

Nearby officers rushed to the scene, and arrested the suspect on suspicion os aggravated assault. The victim was transported to an area hospital for injuries police say are not considered life-threatening.
