The last couple of years has seen CUESA's once small celebration of goats — and baby goats — turn into a major event, following some social media hype, and the nickname Goatchella. This year, the Ninth Annual Goat Festival is scheduled for April 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., as SF Weekly just alerted us, and as usual it will include "goaty" arts and crafts, goat cheese tastings, and a baby goat petting area which now requires tickets due to overwhelming popularity.

There will also be plenty of other food from the likes of Batter Bakery, Vicolo Pizza, King Knish, and Three Babes Bakeshop, and if that doesn't sound crowded enough, the farmers' market will be going on at the same time.

Here is a collection of cute pictures from last year's Goatchella, if you're curious, including shots of animal rights activists who now show up annually to spoil the fun.
