We've all got to find solace in the little things as we face 2017, and the updates to the marquee at Kahn & Keville tire shop, at the corner of Turk and Larkin, will be one of those things. Irregularly updated about every month or so, the sign's curator — shop owner Bill Brinnon — made a habit of subtly trolling Donald Trump in 2016, and then was dumbstruck when the unthinkable happened in November.

Now, it's a new year, and though it could end up to be another horrifying one, Brinnon is at least trying to make us on the Left Coast see the bright side. May this first update of 2017 prove prescient, and God save us all.
