Dave Eggers' dystopian 2013 novel The Circle, a timely take on TwitterFaceGoogle and **bong rip** the implications of, like, technology and mass surveillance, was a pretty good movie script and not even a bad book.
Now the trailer has dropped for the film adaptation starring Emma Watson as tech ingenue Mae Holland, and it looks like director James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now) either filmed at Apple's new, still under-construction circular campus or took some on-the-nose design cues from it.
The film, which arrives in theaters on April 28th, 2017, also stars John Boyega of recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens acclaim and Tom Hanks, whom you may remember from such films as all of them.
