Still grappling with the implications of Oakland's massive warehouse fire this Friday, some were frightened to see more smoke over the East Bay this afternoon. The source appears to be one or more tents below the elevated stretch of 880 near Webster Street and the Alameda tunnel.

According to East Bay Express editor Nick Miller on Twitter, a fire under 880 was caused by a man allegedly firebombing his ex-girlfriend's tent. She was able to escape, Miller wrote in a subsequent tweet.
A man firebombed a homeless woman's tent underneath Interstate 880 near Jack London Square. Huge bang, tons of smoke. Woman survived.
