Well this is just crummy news. A 14-year old boy skateboarding with his buds was hit by an SUV.

The accident happened last night at around 8pm. The teen was going south on 22nd Avenue, and the SUV was headed west on Ulloa. That particular intersection has stop signs at every corner.

According to an SFPD press release, "The driver of the SUV, a male in his 50's remained on scene, was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation. Impairment is not thought to be a factor at this time."

The skateboarder was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His friends were not hurt.
