A woman who tried to engage a trio of cyclists in a discussion has the interaction turn sour this morning, when the men instead robbed her then rode off.

It was 3:24 Thursday morning, police say, when the 27-year-old woman approached the three bike-riding men "to talk" at the intersection of Valencia and McCoppin Streets.

But instead of conversation, she was assaulted, as a report from the San Francisco Police Department says that the three men "attacked and punched" her.

The threesome then robbed the woman of her purse and her cell phone. They were last seen riding their bikes east down Market Street, and remain at large.
