Kanye West has come a long way from his pink polo days, having introduced a full three seasons of his own fashion line, sometimes tied to his music as at his Madison Square Garden listening party and fashion show. With far less pomp than that affair, a pop-up shop selling West-branded clothing — items that are more merch than high-fashion — arrives in San Francisco today.
The first such pop-up to sell clothing tied to the recent album The Life of Pablo touched down in New York City back in March. Today, 21 more temporary stores launched across the globe, as Vogue observed, their exact locations secret until yesterday. If the New York pop-up is any indication, you can expect such items as Robert Kardashian/Donda West memorial t-shirts for $45, hoodies for $95, and burgundy bombers for $350.
San Francisco's Life of Pablo shop is in Chinatown at 45 Wentworth Place, a side street between Jackson and Washington Streets near Portsmouth Square Plaza. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Word's out, and there's already a line.
