Oakland Zoo added a new member to its baboon troop earlier this year with the birth of Zachary. According to the zoo's Facebook page, Zachary was born April 22 and brings the troop total to 16. This makes the Oakland troop the second largest in the US (well, at a zoo, anyway).

In the below video, you can see the newborn playing with other young baboons and just generally living it up. Zoo officials explain that the little creature was out and about almost immediately after his birth. "The baby clings to the mother and she and the baby move with the rest of the troop," they write. "[Mother] Krista and Zachary were out on exhibit the morning after he was born."

No word yet on whether the SF Zoo's baby giraffe and Zachary will get to have play dates.
