Just hours after a man was gunned down near a busy San Francisco youth center, the woman who allegedly shot him to death was arrested, police say.

29-year-old Ronald McDuffie, Jr. was fatally shot at around 10 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Santos Street and Sunnydale Avenue, the Ex reports.

That intersection is just steps from the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco Sunnydale Clubhouse and Sunnydale-Velasco, the city's largest public housing complex.

At 4 p.m. that same day, SF resident Monique Williams was arrested in the slaying, and charged "with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and being an accessory to a crime," the Chron reports.

A San Francisco Police Department spokesperson says that McDuffie's shooting is San Francisco's ninth for 2016, following last week's death of Paul Tam over a month after his stabbing at Post and Franklin.

Williams, who according to a San Francisco Sheriff's department spokesperson is 22 years old, remains in custody at San Francisco County Jail as of Tuesday afternoon.
