A busy Fremont street was closed for about an hour yesterday, after the driver of a taco truck flipped the vehicle over as he drove on southbound Mission Boulevard between Las Palmas Avenue and Dalgo Road.
According to the Fremont Police Department, the solo crash was reported at around 1 p.m. Wednesday. According to a police spokesperson, the vehicle was "completely overturned" and the "roof was crushed in" by the force of the impact.
Police closed streets near the site of the crash until 2 p.m., as crews worked to right the smashed food truck. The driver, police say, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
