A 70-year-old man is dead after he was struck Saturday afternoon and killed by the driver of a tour bus at the intersection of Post and Divisadero Streets.
According to Bay City News, the collision was reported at 1 p.m. Saturday. ABC 7 reporter Katie Utehs was tweeting from the scene. According to witnesses to whom she spoke, a "Hop On Hop Off" tour bus "was going fast & hit person in intersection."
Utehs tweeted that an elderly man had banged on the window of the bus at Divisadero and Post "but [the] driver kept going."
BCN reports that the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
By 2:22 p.m., the intersection had been cleared and traffic had resumed in the area. As of publication time, SFPD had not returned SFist's call for further details on the collision.
