The background story: last month City CarShare, the Bay Area's original nonprofit carsharing organization, welcomed Member #50,000 to its network. This means that over the past 14 years, 50,000 unique individuals have shared the organization's neighborhood cars at hundreds of locations throughout the Bay Area.

This milestone is timely with the recent partnership announcement with carpool industry leader and technology company Carma. City CarShare has also announced its latest goal of reaching 100,000 unique members by the year 2020.
