The San Francisco Police Department is seeking witnesses to a Mission Street hit-and-run that critically injured a 24-year-old woman.
According to an SFPD spokesperson, the woman was crossing Mission Street at Precita Avenue at 9:58 Saturday night when the driver of a pickup truck struck her and kept on driving.
The woman suffered life-threatening injuries to the head and upper body, according to SFPD. She was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, and remains in critical condition Monday.
The driver kept going north on Mission following the collision, an SFPD spokesperson says. Neither the driver nor the truck have been identified or found as of Monday morning. That's why, SFPD says, they're asking anyone with information on or who might have witnessed the collision to call SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
