A 43-year-old woman was found dead inside a San Francisco home Saturday morning, the victim of a fatal shooting and the city's 28th homicide for 2015.
According to San Francisco Police Department spokesperson Officer Albie Esparza, police were called to a home on the 100 block of Apollo Street at 5:35 Saturday morning on reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, they discovered a woman identified by the San Francisco Medical Examiner's office as 43-year-old Lisa Broussard. She had been shot, Esparza says, and was pronounced dead at the scene, the victim of a homicide.
The ME's office could not confirm her city of residence at publication time, nor could Esparza confirm if Broussard was a resident of the home in which she died.
Esparza says that as of Monday morning, no one has been arrested in Broussard's death, and that no suspect information was available.
Broussard's death is San Francisco's 28th homicide for 2015. The city's last slaying was two weeks ago, when San Francisco resident Antoine Davis was shot to death in the Sunnydale Housing Development. As of publication time, no one has been arrested in his death.
As always, Esparza said, anyone with information about Broussard's death or any other crimes is encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
