If moving to San Francisco with vague ideas and few savings is a cliché you don't enjoy, this web series will not appeal. However, if such romantic city notions do resonate with you, however impractical and unlikely they might seem these days, then check out Paper Boys.

It's a pretty straightforward gay SF web series that's released two episodes at 12 and 13 minutes respectively. The cast and crew are Kickstartering the next two episodes.

The plot: Young gay artist comes to visit straight friend and friend's fiancé in SF, but wants to stay and make a go of it. The aesthetic: Instagram-filtered with copious shirtlessness. The players: Lots of non-white characters, not to mention the brilliant line, "San Francisco is really expensive. Why do you think our neighborhood is filled with white people?"

Anyway, it's a promising endeavor, much more so than those snippets we have of 94110. Kyle Cabral stars and is quite watchable and likable. And with nothing left of Looking but a special to wrap things up, Paper Boys could be a welcome outlet.
