Don't call it a skateboard, because freeboard enthusiasts don't like that. This guy — Mike Hoppe, as Freebord.com informs us — isn't on a skateboard with four wheels, he's riding a six-wheeled Freebord, which mimics the movement of a snowboard.

The Freebord's inventor, Steen Strand, conceived of freeboards while doing a master's in in product design at Stanford, and by 1997 was selling the things out of the garage of his SF home. According to their site, "Freebording is extremely dangerous...The board will be unstable and may slide out from under you."

And of course Hoppe is doing it down famously busy, curvy, and steep Lombard Street. Because why not, I suppose. But fortunately, no one seems to have crashed their car or been hurt, so here it is. Keep your eyes peeled for Hoppe dodging a Segway!
