A reported gas leak at Stockton and Jackson Streets sent news choppers into the air over downtown and put some Muni bus routes out of commission this afternoon, and drivers are being told to avoid the area.

As a precaution, Muni shut off power to the overhead lines between Market and Broadway on the 30/45 lines. As far as we know, the situation is ongoing.
