Locanda, in SF's Mission district, will be doing their part for parenthood planning and STD-avoidance this Valentine's Day by doling out free "Locondoms" with every meal on Saturday. As Thrillist notes, this is in response to the fact that so many babies get conceived on Valentine's Day — though maybe not so many in SF given that chronic child shortage we have.

The restaurant posted about the promotional condoms in their newsletter, saying, "Studies suggest that approximately 11,000 children are conceived on Valentine’s Day. For those not looking for the added responsibility of offspring, the Locanda team has once again swept in to save the day with Locondoms, for a limited time only!"

They also note that 53% of women, in some survey or other, have said they would end their relationship if they didn't get anything for Valentine's Day. I'm not sure if a condom counts as that "something," but dinner will probably suffice.

Locanda is part of the Delfina restaurant group which has become known for their fun promotional videos and t-shirts, like the ones that used terrible Yelp reviews as jokes.

So, sure, go there for dinner. Even though this holiday is awful and every coupled person should boycott out of compassion for their single friends. The end.
