In preparation for a piece he's doing at his new gig, coming up in 7x7's April issue, former SFist editor Brock Keeling spent the day hanging with Giants outfielder Hunter Pence. The marvelous, enigmatic, bearded wonder who inspired his own nationally recognized meme last year, has a swank apartment in SoMa in the same building as his dad, and as you can see in the photo above, posted to Instagram, he's a fan of video games. Keeling tells SFist that the game was "some sort of fantasy RPG" and was "very hard," but he can't recall the name of it.

Opening day of the Giants' Panda-free season is April, and this season will come with fresh new black jerseys, and a new beer garden/food area across the channel by the parking lots called The Yard.
