In tweets that were more annoying than they were shocking, Ron Conway implied he wholly approved of the CIA despite revelations of atrocious torture of detainees following 9/11 that included sodomizing them. First, he urged Senator Feinstein, who released yesterday's report as Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman, to read the Wall Street Journal.

As the Weekly says, this means Conway "sees himself as more than just a local fixer" and wants his influence and "money talks" bravado to extend beyond San Francisco politics. Here's the main offending tweet.

Drawing attention to Conway's close ties with Mayor Lee, many quickly assumed Conway spoke for Lee as well. Not so, says Lee, via whoever manages his Twitter.
