The official, frowning host of today's unveiling ceremony of Macy's annual holiday windows is internet celebrity pet, Grumpy Cat. Grumpy, who also stars in a horrific looking Lifetime Christmas movie that arrives next week, will be overseeing today's event at 5 p.m. in which Macy's windows will be filled with adoptable cats and dogs from the SPCA.

As the SPCA tells us, the windows have helped raise over $400,000 over the past nine years, and helped find homes for over 2,300 animals.

The animals will be romping about in Macy's windows until January 4.

But back to this Lifetime movie... it features the voice of Aubry Plaza as Grumpy Cat. Is it just me, or did everyone think Grumpy Cat's voice would sound more like George Wendt than Aubry Plaza? And my grandmother could write better jokes than this.
