Be honest. You were just waiting with bated breath to find out what the first public disaster with the iPhone 6 would be. Wait no longer! They bend.

The smartphones, which are roughly the size of a coffee table art book, are apparently bending from being shoved in the tight, skinny, corduroy pockets of people who, did we mention, own iPhone 6 Pluses, and thus totally deserve this.

Obviously there exists a hashtag for this tech tragedy. Meet #bendgate. [Update: Also, #bendghazi.]

The pro-Apple set over at MacRumors has this helpful bit of advice, which actually helps no one who wants to carry around a big phone every day:

To prevent bending, iPhone 6 Plus owners may want to remove their iPhones from their pockets before sitting or bending. If a pocket is unavoidable, then customers may want to place their device in a roomier pocket that allows the device to slide out the way.

While iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus cases already exist and should obviously be used by people who regularly shove their expensive brand new phones in their butt pockets, none of the cases are very cute. Also, one imagines that someone in possession of 2014's hottest tech gadget wants everyone to know and would avoid hiding the phone's make and model with something that might, oh, I don't know, keep it from bending.
