You will find the popular SoMa spot Marlowe closed this week as the restaurant prepares for its previously announced move to the former Coco500 space at Brannan and Fourth. Yes, the restaurant is moving a mere one block closer to Market Street, and away from CalTrain to a much larger space. The restaurant that has been home to chef Loretta Keller for over 20 years (previously under the name Bizou, and as Coco500 since 2005) will now showcase chef Jennifer Puccio's cooking, with an expanded menu and a full liquor license.

As owner Anna Weinberg previously discussed, she's aiming for an "Abbot Kinney-feeling" for Marlowe 2.0 — referring to the hip stretch of the Venice Beach neighborhood in L.A. — with patio seating, a late-night menu, brunch, and possibly a walk-up burger window for last-call revelers.

Puccio and Weinberg first partnered on Marlowe in 2010 and have gone on to open the successful Park Tavern and The Cavalier together as well.

They're hoping to have the relocated Marlowe open for business in just two weeks, by the first week in October.
