A trio of suspects were arrested late Wednesday/early Thursday in the vicinity of 18th and Collingwood in the Castro, following gunfire that erupted in a parking lot. The shooting luckily injured no one, but bullets hit several nearby cars including the intended victim's, all of which stemmed from a bar fight that happened in a nearby club — likely either Badlands or Toad Hall, given the location.

SFPD spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy tells NBC Bay Area that this began as an "argument between a 38-year-old man and a group comprised of a 25-year-old woman and two men, ages 25 and 33," and the gunfire happened at 2:45 a.m., well after last call, on Thursday morning.

As Castro Biscuit reports via neighbors, the gunfire occurred in the public parking lot off of Collingwood behind Zapata Mexican Grill. Some neighbors are already calling for this parking lot to be gated off after a certain hour.

This kind of gun activity is rare for the Castro, outside of major street events like Pink Saturday and Halloween, and hopefully it doesn't mark the beginning of a new crop of ne'er-do-wells patronizing neighborhood bars and clubs.

Guns and booze don't mix well. That much we already know.
