Last night around 6:45 p.m., police responding to calls around Stanyan and Haight Streets arrived on the scene to find an male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated and he is expected to survive. As of this morning, SFPD had not made any arrests in last night's shooting, which occurred near the Upper Haight confluence of a Whole Foods parking lot, that oft-maligned McDonald's and Hippie Hill in Golden Gate Park.
The shooting was the fourth in San Francisco this week. Early Wednesday morning a man was shot near 16th and Dolores. On Tuesday morning, another male victim was shot and killed near 25th and Connecticut in Potrero Hill, just 12 hours after a man was gunned down at 16th and Capp Streets in the Mission.
There have been no arrests or suspect descriptions released in any of the recent shootings, but anyone with information is encouraged to call SFPD's anonymous tipline at (415) 575-4444 or via text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
