Did you get pelted this morning? Yesterday there was all that exciting thunder and lightning, and now, potentially more heavy rain is on its way today, and this morning already saw a storm cell pass over part of the city dumping catfood-sized pellets of hail. Birds and other animals are all acting a little strangely as a result.
CBS had reports of the hail near 24th and Mission. Did you see it/feel it? All of it melted as soon as it hit the ground, but we are in for more crazy weather today in what one meterologist is calling "the most active weather day we’ve seen in a while."
There are at least 12 separate storm cells moving through the region today, including one that caused Highway 1 to be shut down for an hour near Half Moon Bay due to hail and icy conditions. That was obviously not fun for anyone who needed to commute through there.
I could have sworn I heard some hail in the city last night around midnight, but that's unconfirmed.
No April foolin', but anyone with a passing interest/lack of skepticism about astrology may want to look into Susan Miller's predictions about April. She doesn't predict the weather, obviously, but she has some freaky things to say! As she told the UK Guardian in January, "April's so scary, I'm giving classes on it." And now her full predictions are out. Watch, out for April, everyone! On their way are "two important eclipses, first an emotional full-moon lunar eclipse in Libra on April 15, and then a new-moon solar eclipse in Taurus on April 29," in which there are going swift and perhaps unsettling changes, and the April 15 eclipse seems to not bode well for anyone leaving their taxes to the last minute. Just sayin. Take it for what you will. It's not like she's ever very right about my life.
