Police are now looking for a suspect who, at around 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, shot a man several times outside the Westfield Mall near Powell and Market.

"Arriving officers found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries," reports Bay City News/Chron. While KTVU's Heather Holmes notes, "@SFPD says victim was shot at least twice, life threatening injuries & collapsed near #bart escalator." BART remains

The suspect remains at large.

Update: ABC 7 has eyewitness accounts from the scene outside the mall and in the BART station below, where the victim tried to run and ultimately collapsed. His wounds are reportedly life threatening.


Update, February 17th: The victim is expected to survive, but the suspect is still at large.
