An apartment building on Market Street played host to the city's first reported homicide of 2014. The San Francisco medical examiner's office has identified the victim as 21-year-old Jose Manuel Puc-Muy., a San Francisco resident.

As you may recall, the body was found in the lobby of an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Market. According to the Chronicle, "It was unclear whether he lived at the building, and efforts to reach his family were unsuccessful."
