Google just released their "zeitgeist" video, which attempts to define the year in 90 seconds (from an American perspective). It includes the birth of Prince George, Daniel Day Lewis accepting his Oscar for Lincoln, and a total of three notable deaths: Margaret Thatcher, Nelson Mandela, and Paul Walker. (Not even Lou Reed? Peter O'Toole?) Anyway, the dramatic America's Cup in San Francisco Bay is front and center, and so is Syria... sort of. The only image they use, of a kid holding a flag, smacks too much of smarm, but we digress. Here's your year, America. Or at least the 90-second edit of it.
