Although an LA Times review recently (and somewhat oddly) described Sandra Bernhard as "a walking-talking blogger before blogs were invented," you won't find any cat GIFs or food porn at her one-woman show, “I Love Being Me, Don’t You?" in North Beach tonight.

What you will find, according to the artist herself, is "a mash-up of cabaret, burlesque; rock and roll meets social commentary." Basically, the noted comedian/actress can have you urinating in your slacks with her biting wit or blow you to the back wall of the theater with her voice. (Also, if pressed, she can and will read the audience to filth.)

Tonight's show might include a story about a high school friend who vanished on the night of a Cat Stevens concert and "a San Francisco retrospective ingeniously reworking Sylvester's 'You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real), among other things. You'll just have to show up to find out. Tickets are $45, which is a goddamn bargain.
