Marnee Thai in the Inner Sunset is generally accepted as one of the city's favorite spots to score above-par pad thai, with over 1,000 Yelp reviews and a 4-star average (not easy to do in this city). But behind those delicious angel wings there were some stomach-turning health code violations at work.

As Inside Scoop reports, Marnee Thai's 9th Avenue location has been shut down by the Health Department for multiple violations following a final warning in January 2012. Let's face it: 58 is just not a good score. Cockroaches, both dead and undead (the only two options of cockroaches if you ask me) are cited on prep tables and floor surfaces, as well as rodent droppings near food containers and other food safety no-nos.

An employee over at Marnee Thai's Outer Sunset location had this to say when asked about the situation: "We clean up." Please do, Marnee Thai.
