Alyssa Byrne, 19, of Petaluma had been missing since New Year's Eve at a Lake Tahoe casino. Authorities have confirmed that the body of missing Petaluma teen has been recovered.

Byrne had attended the Snow Globe Music Festival on New Year's Eve, but left the party and took a shuttle back to the hotel. After that, neither friends nor family heard back from her. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office notes that a utility worker found Byrne's body in a snow bank along route from the festival to the hotel.

Though the cause of death as yet to be determined, a series of vague tweets preceded her death. Though the veracity of the Twitter account, it seems, is still in question. "We've seen those and there's still a debate as to the actual author of those tweets," Douglas County Undersheriff Paul Howell told ABC News.
