On Tuesday night a 911 call regarding a possible gunman looming around the San Jose City College campus prompted an immediate lockdown. According to the Mercury News, "The hullabaloo followed a call placed to 911 around 4:30 p.m. warning of black male dressed in a white T-shirt and carrying a gun."

The suspect was supposedly spotted in the Technology Center near Moorpark Avenue. However, after a thorough search of the campus, police didn't find any gunman. Whew. Real or not, people are on high alert in light of last Friday's shooting in Newtown, CT. Better safe than sorry, we guess.

School resumed classes on Wednesday.
