Shortly after winning his first Michelin star for his work at SPQR, Chef Matthew Accarrino headed back to his native New Jersey to help clean up after his home state fell victim to Sandy's inexcusable wrath. Among some of the ruins he went through? Water damaged cookbooks. Some of them, as seen here, signed by notable chefs. Alas.
We are certain, however, that Accarrino is relieved to lose but a few books during last week's fatal hurricane. New Jersey was hit hardest during the curious storm, and bodies are still being pulled from Sandy's aftermath. For those of you not on the East Coast, which is most of you, but still want to help, go here for more details.
