Nightlife events at normally sober venues are all the rage these days, but tonight's Noc'tails Silent Disco Party at the San Francisco Zoo is the first where attendees can party down with other nocturnal primates.
The 21+ event happens tonight from 7 - 11 p.m. in the Zoo's Primate Discovery Center. DJs Carnitas and Brown Amy from Hard French, plus DJ Zach Moore from Space Cowboys will be on hand streaming tunes wirelessly into headsets provided by Silent Storm Sound System's silent disco setup, so as to not disturb the less nocturnal critters around the zoo grounds.
There will a full bar available, plus treats to keep the hungry dancers moving. The Zoo's primate keepers will also be on hand to chat you up about lemurs, squirrel monkeys, langurs, aye-ayes. We, personally, are hoping to get some time at a VIP booth with local legend Banana Sam.
Tickets at $20 for members or $25 for non-members and include your headphones for the night, plus a drink ticket for the signature noc'tail. The more adventurous drinkers can opt for the $75 VIP open bar ticket.
