A teenage girl was left dead on the sidewalk and another man was wounded when an unidentified gunman opened fire on a group of people outside of a liquor store in East Oakland last night. According to Oakland Police, officers responded to reports of a shooting on Talbot Avenue near Foothill Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening. The girl was found dead when police arrived on the scene.
The male victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition.
The shooter, meanwhile, has not been found, no arrests have been made in the case and OPD have yet to put together a suspect description. Crime Stoppers of Oakland is offering a $15,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest in the case.
The killing marks Oakland 69th homicide for the year.
