Matt Cain pitched nine innings to shut out the Pittsburgh Pirates at the AT&T Park home opener this afternoon. In a start where he struck out 11, Cain made his third career one-hitter, 14th complete game, and his fifth shutout. On the scoring side, Buster Posey knocked an RBI double off the wall in his first game back in AT&T park since last season, putting the Giants on the scoreboard in the first. Panda scored off of a Nate Schierholtz single in the sixth and Aubrey Huff homered for two in the eighth.
