Last week near 10th and Mission in SOMA, a woman was kidnapped and tossed into a car while walking with a pal in broad daylight. The incident, which happened on February 28 at 3:40 pm, raised concern over the woman's safety. However, according to SF Examiner, the victim has been found and is safe.
The Southern Police Station last weekend said the victim and her friend had arrived in The City from Reno, Nev., the day she was abducted. The friend told police that after arriving in town, the two visited a hotel on Ninth Street, checking in with the friend’s 'self-admitted pimp,' " reports SF Examiner. "The victim and the friend then reportedly went to the Mission district to solicit for prostitution," which is when one of them was abducted by the self-professed pimp.
No word if any arrests were made.
