A woman inside a Sixth Street residence hotel was slashed in the face and torso with a meat cleaver by a man she was having an argument with last night. Her injuries are not life threatening, but gruesome! This all happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday, and both the woman and another witness in the room during the incident identified one man as the suspect. He was quickly found nearby, still carrying the cleaver.
The 51-year-old suspect, who has not been identified, is being held on attempted murder and aggravated assault charges.
Not that we needed any added proof that life inside a Sixth Street SRO was terrible, but...
