Over in Massachusetts, authorities are warning girls that someone is stealing their "fully-clothed" photos from Facebook and placing them on an x-rated site. The incident happened to 17 girls at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton, Mass, reports CBS. The porn site in question, possibly based in another country, was already shut down once.
How can you, teens and tweens, prevent your picture from being pilfered and placed onto a site that grown men use to pleasure themselves? Simple. Use the highest Facebook security settings possible. Think of it like this: Would you leave your school locker unlocked or wide open? No, you would secure it shut. Do this with your online life as well. Ask your parents, a teacher, or someone with internet prowess to help you keep your Facebook page and images safe from unsavory creeps.
